The perfect pair: The creation of two complementary estate agent websites
Starberry has successfully launched two responsive property websites for estate agent Allsopp & Allsopp – one for its Dubai/Middle East operation and another for its estate agency network in the UK.
The web design brief: Feature-rich and sophisticated in style to emulate premier property experiences
Carl and Lewis, the co-founders of Allsopp & Allsopp, were very particular about the creative for their UK website, requesting a web design that raised the bar in terms of style and image in the West Midlands.
Having experienced the glossy world of property sales in the Middle East and drawing influences from the websites Starberry has already created for London agents, the client wanted to purvey a more sophisticated image, with a cutting-edge website ready to wow home movers in the West Midlands.
The sister Middle East website needed to have brand cohesion with the UK website, while catering for an upscale, property savvy audience dealing in a different currency. Both new web designs also needed to be responsive and usable on any device.
How did we create two perfectly aligned estate agent websites for one brand?
Our aim was to create feature-rich websites that emulated the very best property examples – award-winning websites Starberry created for Marsh & Parsons, MyLondonHome, Sandfords and Kay & Co. Both Allsopp & Allsopp websites share a bespoke responsive web design and development platform, which incorporates cutting-edge technology and a wealth of features.
Starberry built a fully-responsive website framework designed to automatically and dynamically adjust according to what device the website was viewed on. The end result was two products that display perfectly on desktops, tablets and smartphones.
“The web design and functionality of the two Allsopp & Allsopp sites are almost a perfect mirror,” comments Starberry’s Ben Sellers. “The ‘above-the-fold’ view is photo led, with a sliding gallery of images that create the ‘lifestyle’ feel which the client was hoping to achieve. Neat features include the Allsopp & Allsopp logo, which sits in the top left hand corner of every page for brand reinforcement, and a simple navigation menu in the top right hand corner. The UK website also features a secure property tracker area for vendors and a ‘reviews’ tab where people can browse existing testimonials or leave their own feedback.”
