Dexters – Website




Starberry was delighted to have been awarded the new responsive website project for Estate Agents – Dexters, who are now one of the largest independent Estate Agents in London with 60 offices, 28 of which are located within Central London.


Our multi award winning website designers, architects and engineers worked closely with the Dexters CEO, Marketing & IT Departments to plan, design and build a website that clearly reflects the new brand and corporate guidelines, whilst listening and responding to feedback from key stakeholders during the in-depth UX process.


We were asked to design and develop a website with an intimate feel that included their key areas of business; Residential Sales, Residential Lettings, New Homes, Valuation and Property Management.


The main brief was to create an outstanding website experience. It had to be incredibly simple to use, offering uncluttered navigation and user specific landing pages, that communicates the core business services succinctly, drives and captures leads throughout and has a powerful, super fast search facility, delivering well presented filtered results.


It was no small order for Dexters to simultaneously launch 35 brand new offices over a weekend, including a complete rebrand, new shop fit-outs and obviously the unveiling of a beautiful new website. The new estate agents website has a number of very thoughtful, but often subtle design features, whether it be revealing the main navigation from the burger bars, clicking buy or rent from the search fields on the homepage, or the graceful appearance of the valuation and other forms.


The site is extremely fast to load, full of informative, rich content and carefully selected imagery – which dramatically assists both the SEO on-page and with Google search rankings. There are a number of dynamically generated content areas such as the 600+ area guides that automatically pull in a Google’s satellite maps, nearby supporting offices, schools and travel data and offer instant access to localised filtered available sales and rental properties, plus sold and let property too.


The first phase of the Dexters website was formally launched on the top the the Gherkin building in the City of London back in June. It is literally just the beginning and we are very excited about the journey ahead. The development roadmap includes many new tools, cool features and functionality that will add great value to both the Dexters team and their different audiences. There is already a great deal of background data being captured with user profiling and content automation in development. We are also in the setup phase of a detailed ongoing monthly SEO & Social strategy that’s being rolled out slowly in the coming months.
