Orchards of London are an extremely progressive West London estate agent who went through a vigilant interview process to select the best digital agency to design and build their new responsive website and subsequent online marketing strategy.
Starberry successfully saw off three or four competing agencies thanks to our ability to offer a complete solution to an award winning standard.
As always the User Experience (UX) process began with thorough sessions with all the stakeholders, defining what the key success matrix included. We always like to start with the actions, and then work out who is the core target audience and what are the associated goals – This allows us to create clear goals on which we can base the overall KPI’s, and show the ROI to the team.
As part of the content architecture we fine tuned the primary and secondary navigation under which the content would flow.
We chose to only feature certain key headings out on the deck in the top navigation, and park the remainder in the right hand ‘burger’ menu (3 lined icon seen typically on mobiles) – The headings included; Search (Buyers/Tenants), Valuation (Sellers/Landlords), Contact Us with easy access to all 4 offices details.
From a creative point of view, right from the homepage, we went for impactful full screen imagery, and a long scrolling page housing all primary goals in a prioritised order – search, valuation, registration, news, careers, contacts – so if you went nowhere other than the homepage, you would at a glance have a good understanding of Orchards of London.
We’ve made a big focus around Orchards the company and the team, and how approachable and personable they are by bringing them to the forefront of all enquiries whether they be valuations, viewing requests or direct enquiries.
There is also a couture magazine style to the look and feel whether searching, reading corporate info, or the wealth of charitable activity this values led business is involved in.
The website actions flow directly in to a backend data dashboard that gives great insights to the marketing department and the management, which offers totally visibility in terms of reporting on the performance of various marketing initiatives.
