Formerly known as The Mortgage and Insurance Bureau (TMIB), Mortgage Scout is one of the most trusted mortgage brokers across London and the UK. The company initially approached us to create a new website to help grow their online presence.
As we started looking at it, we realised that their then existing brand name, logo and domain name were quite dated and would not be up to the mark for creating the awesome, slick website design we were going for. That’s why we suggested a complete rebranding that would help the business get to the next level.
Based on extensive research, the Starberry branding team came up with a fresh, contemporary, new name for the business - the Mortgage Scout. The brand identity we created around it is much more modern and edgy and it reflects well what the company does best: seeking out and offering the best mortgage deals that allow people to buy the home of their dreams.
In line with the new brand identity, we recommended a new domain name and created their brand guidelines and marketing collaterals (brochures, business cards, letterheads, email signatures etc.). Mortgage Scout’s brand guidelines covered everything from brand values, personality and mission to tone of voice, customer profiling, typography and colour palette - to make sure the brand image stays consistent throughout time and across formats, both online and offline.
With so many awesome new website features and an amazing brand identity, it’s no wonder Mortgage Scout saw an immediate boost in both traffic and number of leads generated online. In the first 3 months after launch, the website traffic doubled when compared to the previous period and direct traffic (which is mainly the result of brand awareness) increased by 161%. It also saw a good improvement in user engagement, with a whopping 12% of users being engaged through the calculators, the chat and other lead generation tools on the website.
Since launching the website, Mortgage Scout also won a Best Mortgage Broker award at the ESTAS 2019. And we like to think that we contributed to this success through creating an awesome brand and website for this already strong mortgage business.
