An estate agent website design created for growth
Starberry were asked to build an estate agent website that would set Moving City up for long-term growth in the UK and on an international stage. Prominent calls to action and a strong keyword /SEO strategy became the linchpins of this web creation.
The web design brief: A web development process strongly influenced by the client
Ripon Mahmood, CEO of Moving City contacted Ben Sellers late one evening with a general enquiry. His opening line was, “I started casually looking at other estate agent websites and stumbled across three in a row that I absolutely loved and looked in the bottom right hand corner only to see the same name – Website Design by Starberry.”
He went on to say that although he didn’t originally think he needed a new website, once he was wowed by these sites, he just had to call. We had a great journey of conversation, sharing ideas and thoughts over the following 12 months and as promised, when Ripon was ready, he called us with the brief to build him an award-winning real estate website that would help Moving City stand out from the crowd, be extremely simple to navigate and deliver rich content quickly.
With a wealth of fantastic property to present to an audience of primarily Asian overseas investors, the website needed to be accessible from desktop, tablet and mobile devices, be fast and clearly communicate everything on offer in terms of both property and professional services.
Starberry carried out a detailed level of discovery to understand all Moving City’s business goals and objectives, and to respond to the various customer journeys – be they buyers, tenants, vendors or investors (or a combination of multiple personas).
How did we create an estate agent website to increase business and nurture growth?
The user experience, otherwise known as UX, touches on many aspects. In addition to meeting stakeholders expectations and delivering an amazing user experience, Starberry puts a lot of weight on the power of content, including the right words, imagery, graphics, videos and more.
The collaborative design process was carried in Starberry’s usual detailed way, through a variety of agile scrums and sprints to breakdown all the design elements into atoms, molecules and organisms.
Moving City wanted a well optimised web platform to be able to build upon, one that supports the delivery of an ongoing and strategic content marketing campaign with the aim of producing more new business, and driving more sales and lettings to the residential market, with a big focus on new homes developments. Starberry is proud to have delivered on this promise and is already planning some complementary digital marketing campaigns.
